Notes on getting documents off Scribd
Practical things we checked rather than assumed, written down so you do not have to find out the hard way. Every post says what actually happens, including the parts that are inconvenient.
- How to get the link for a Scribd document Every Scribd URL contains a document id, and the same document is written five different ways. Here is what each one means and which of them a tool will accept.
- How to save a Scribd presentation Slide decks are shared at a different address from documents, they arrive as pictures, and an animated build comes out as one still frame. What that means before you try.
- Scribd vs Everand vs SlideShare Three sites that look interchangeable and are not: what each one actually hosts, what an account gets you, and which of them a converter can read.
Have a link to convert?
Paste it. No account, and the whole document comes back in one PDF.
